The most northern hostel in Canada is located on the banks of the Yukon River overlooking Dawson City. The hostel offers rustic accommodations in dorm rooms, private cabins, a tenting area and group tenting sites. Check out the funky bath house and the view from the deck! Bed type: Single beds: 24 Rates: Singles: $46 Directions: Arriving from Whitehorse by bus: Buses will drop off at the visitor centre. Walk 1/2 block to Yukon River and to the Ferry 3 blocks away. The car/passenger ferry runs 24 hours a day and is free of charge. Crossing time: 5 minutes. In Dawson West walk up the highway 150 m., turn first dirt road left and 150 m to hostel. When driving - same. By plane: Take airport shuttle ($15) to downtown and visitor centre. Arriving by car from Alaska: Do not take the ferry! Turn right into dirt road 150 m. before ferry landing. Arriving by Alaska Shuttle from Fairbanks: Bus will drop you off at hostel. The hostel is located right on the river's edge and is easy to spot from almost anywhere in Dawson City. |
